INTRODUCTION

ePaiLive is Asia's leading online platform for fine art, antiques and collectibles. It connects international auction houses, galleries and dealers to the world's second largest auction market and to a growing, influential and affluent community of collectors and buyers in China and the Asia Pacific region.

ePaiLive has invested in the latest web technology to provide an engaging and interactive experience for Chinese buyers. Buyers have an unprecedented opportunity to view and research items available in China and other countries. ePaiLive acts as an intermediary between its 300,000 members and around 5,000 auction houses, galleries and dealers.

Since April 2011, ePaiLive has witnessed exceptional growth and has cemented its place as Asia's leading auction platform for fine art, antiques and collectibles. It has cooperated with auction houses in more than 95 countries and territories around the world including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.

ePaiLive has signed long-term partnership contracts with more than 140 international auction houses. The company also facilitates multicurrency payments over its platform and guarantees that auction houses are paid within 7 days of a successful winning bid.

ePaiLive acts as an intermediary, helping with language and client requests, throughout the pre-bidding, bidding, auction house coordination, payment process and culminating in the timely delivery of items through a network of courier and shipping firms that includes professional packing, article tracking, transportation, customs clearance and insurance.

ePaiLive also publishes the monthly, Chinese language Art Trade Journal magazine for Chinese collectors and art professionals.

In 2016, ePaiLive formed ePaiLive Research to provide data on pricing and art trends and also launched “Qing Yi Art Line”, which offers affordable artwork and designer pieces for consumers and collectors in China.

Art Trade Journal

ePaiLive Group publishes the monthly Chinese language magazine Art Trade Journal for Chinese collectors. The magazine has a monthly circulation of 30,000. Art Trade Journal is distributed throughout China, Hong Kong and Macau to monthly subscribers and through bookshops, art forums and events, airline lounges, upscale property developments, private banks and top membership clubs.

ePaiLive Research

ePaiLive Research's database offers unique insights into the global art market via its online data archive that includes pricing, industry trends as well as geographical and regional art data covering different categories of fine art, antiques and collectibles. ePaiLive Research makes it easy and convenient to search, compare and analyse data. The data has been compiled in cooperation with more than 5,000 auction houses and is the aggregation of more than 90% of published online catalogues.

Qing Yi Art Line

Qing Yi Art Line is an online platform designed for collectors and buyers with an eye for lifestyle, decorative and design pieces. It offers beautifully curated affordable art and lifestyle objects to buyers that are starting new collections or are looking for interior design pieces with a quirky, modern and contemporary feel. Qing Yi Art Line uses timed bidding as its main business model. Qing Yi selects lots that are more affordable for new collectors, designers and art enthusiasts.

Jiang QiQi, Founder
& Managing Director, ePaiLive Group
Dr. Jiang QiQi founded ePaiLive, the first online auction aggregator based in the Asia-Pacific region, in 2010 after four years of post graduate study at Oxford University. QiQi combines her knowledge of art, anquitiies and cultural relics with more than three decades in business.

QiQi is a renowned curator and expert on the identification of cultural relics in China. She has curated a number of exhibitions including the 2004 “Treasures of Imperial China” at the National Gallery in Athens, the 1999 “History of Zhihua Temple” in Beijing and a photographic exhibition on “The Great Wall” by Swiss photographer, Daniel Schwartz in 1994.

QiQi has lectured on a range of topics including on Chinese porcelain and ceramics, Tibetan Buddhism and Thangka paintings, Blue and White porcelain found at the Imperial kiln in Jingdezhen, and Chinese blue and white snuff bottles. In 1992, QiQi directed a 15-part documentary in cooperation with the China National Heritage Bureau that introduced ceramics from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties as well as Chinese ceramic export wares.

In 2003, following a research project sponsored by the Beijing Cultural Heritage Bureau to Turkey, QiQi published a book on Chinese blue and white porcelain in the Topkapi Palace Museum collection. Some of this material was ground breaking at the time. It was the first time Chinese scholars had examined the Museum’s collection and the book discussed new discoveries, understanding and influence that the Silk Road trade had brought to China, Turkey, Europe and the Middle East.

QiQi was recently was appointed a member of the China’s Appraisal Society and has also been recognized for her expertise by the Beijing Art Museum and Xichuan San Xing Dui Museum. She is also heads the Marketing and PR committee of the Chinese Museum Society.

QiQi has also taken part in interviews and panel discussions on Chinese national broadcaster, CCTV. She has authored exhibition catalogues for the Beijing Cultural Heritage Bureau and written articles on Chinese ceramics for China National Geographic, Chinese Collector, China Art News and Art Trade Journal magazines.

QiQi is from Beijing but spent four years living in the United Kingdom at Oxford University as well as several months living in Switzerland. She continues to travel frequently internationally.

Zheng Jie, Deputy Managing Director
& Head of Talent, ePaiLive Group
Zheng Jie joined ePaiLive in 2012 and brings over 10 years of talent management experience to the company. Besides being responsible for talent and development, Zheng Jie also leads the customer relations team, IT, Art Trade Journal and training.

Prior to joining ePaiLive, she was the Human Resources Director in China ACG Group Co. Ltd. With an interest in music and film, Zheng Jie was attracted to being part of ePaiLive’s development phase, the opportunity to work and shape a young firm, and the high-growth potential of the company.

Zheng Jie holds a Masters degree of Business Administration and Human Resources from Peking University.

Nadia Stoyle, Deputy Managing Director
& Head of International Business
Development, ePaiLive
Nadia Stoyle joined ePaiLive in January 2017 after more than 25 years in corporate reputation management, public relations and strategic business communications - holding both senior consultancy and in-house positions. She was one of the earliest public relations practitioners to work in China in 1990, and over the years has travelled widely in the Asia Pacific region. Her past employers include Thomson Reuters, Travelport, United Airlines, Dow Jones, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Edelman.

Nadia worked part time for the Oriental Ceramic Society of Hong Kong and also served on the advisory boards of TEDx Wanchai and Liberty Asia, a Hong Kong-based non-profit organisation that fights human trafficking.

Nadia is passionate about Asian arts and culture, corporate responsibility, journalism, architecture and design, travel and hospitality. Nadia was educated in the United Kingdom and has resided in Asia for 30 years.

Kandy Niu, Deputy Managing Director
& Chief Marketing Officer, ePaiLive
Kandy joined in ePaiLive in 2012 and is currently Deputy Managing Director & Chief Marketing Officer. Kandy leads a team of marketing professionals and is responsible for the company’s brand identity, design, website, product launches and promotions. She is also increasingly involved in the company’s social media channels and public relations activities in China.

Kandy has worked with various Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, HP, Sony Ericsson and Motorola.

Kandy is from Beijing and has an interest in both Chinese and Western art, particularly decorative pieces that are symbolic of a specific period.

Zhang Zhongyi, Senior Consultant, ePaiLive Research
Zhang Zhongyi was appointed in 2016 as senior consultant of ePaiLive Research and brings over 30 years of expertise in Chinese calligraphy and painting.

Zhang Zhongyi is a respected connoisseur of calligraphy and paintings, collector, and market theorists. He is also the Vice Executive Secretary of China’s Association of Collectors and the Chairman of the Calligraphy and Painting Collection Commission. His book The Almanac of China’s Collections and Auctions is considered the authority in the industry.

Zhang Zhongyi is a visiting professor at Tsinghua University, Peking University and he also lectures at other prestigious universities in China.

Xi Mu, Senior Consultant, ePaiLive Research
Professor Xi Mu is a Senior Consultant of ePaiLive Research and oversees its academic research work.

Prof. Xi is a well known art expert in China and his “China Art Market White Paper” is credited as being one of the most comprehensive and authoritative in the industry.

Prof. Xi also holds various positions at the Academy of China Artwork, the Academy of China Art Industries and Peking University’s Academy of History. He is also a Senior Consultant at Baoshang Bank (BSB) in the area of art finance.
